The Greatest Commandment

The greatest commandment, as taught by Jesus, is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and putting God first in every part of your life. This kind of love isn’t just emotional or intellectual, it’s total devotion that shows up in how we live, think, speak, and treat others. Jesus pairs it with a second command: to love your neighbor as yourself, because genuine love for God always overflows into love for people. When we live out these two commands, we fulfill the heart of God’s law and reflect His character to the world.
